There are a few “seeing” verbs in Japanese that are useful in everyday Japanese conversation.
miru see, look
mieru see (used in the following context: “can you see?”, “are you able to see it?”)
So, we can make the following sentences:
I watch TV
terebi o miru (mimasu, progressive form: mite imasu)
Can you see the TV?
terebi o mieru? (miemasuka)
Show me your new TV
atarashii terebi o misette kudasai
